Conwy County has some of the best sailing and water sports opportunities in the whole of the UK.

From a leisurely yacht cruise round the Great Orme or gentle paddle down the Conwy River to an exhilarating Jet Ski riding in Colwyn Bay, Kitesurfing in Kinmel Bay or Surfing at a world famous surf lagoons of Surf Snowdonia, there is something to satisfy everyone’s ambitions and tastes.

On this site we will try and give you an insight into some of the activities that are available to everyone and anyone who wants to get involved.

It is generally thought that sailing and water sports are expensive and you can only
participate if you have deep pockets. Nothing could be further from the truth.
In Conwy there is an opportunity to learn how to sail at one of the 7 RYA Training
Centres- both commercial and voluntarily run.
The various sailing and yacht clubs are always prepared to welcome new trainee crew members, dinghy sailors, rowers or paddlers. If you are interested in taking up Jet Skiing then the members of Colwyn Jet Ski Club will be happy to point you in the right direction and above all else get you on the water safely. They will be only too happy to help you and will be best placed to understand what you want to achieve and point you in the right direction.
