We are extremely fortunate in Conwy to be in one of the best locations for Windsurfing in Europe. Windsurfing is a dynamic and exciting sport that conditions here couldn’t be better for. With a range of beginner and intermediate locations across the county, at the advanced end we are a short drive from the UK’s best wave spot at Rhosneigr and until recently the world record holding windsurfing speed sailing spot at West Kirby. The sport has been coming back strong in recent years, with new equipment making it easier than ever before to learn, develop, and get ripping. If you’ve never windsurfed before, RYA recognised windsurfing tuition is available in the county to get you going, with most of the sailing clubs accepting windsurfing members and launch on the sea is free in most places. You’ll find windsurfing is an extremely friendly sport, with most windsurfers keen to pass on their experiences and welcome new people into the windsurf community.
