Dinghy sailing is fun, exhilarating and challenging and one of Britain’s most successful Olympic sports ever. It offers a wide range of options for getting afloat, whether you are an adult or child, beginner or accomplished sailor. If you have never sailed before the simplest way to start, is to book a taster session or learn to sail course, where qualified instructors will you introduce you to the basics, including sailing across the wind, turning the boat around and stopping. Sailing doesn’t have to be expensive. You can join a sailing club from as little as £25 for a child, £70 for an adult or £125 for a family for annual membership and many clubs have dinghies you can borrow and run coached sessions to help you progress.  North Wales provides a wealth of opportunities for dinghy sailing,  from inland lakes to the tidal waters surrounding the stunning coastline, so come and give it a go.
